Discover The Great Argentine Corn Pie

Ingredients:-

* one egg
* two cups frozen corn
* 1 tablespoon plant oil
* three / four cup onion, cut
* two cups milk
* 0.25 cup cornstarch
* 0.25 cup butter
* one small spoon ground nutmeg
* 0.5 little spoon salt
* 0.5 spoon ground black pepper
* one unbaked pie crust
* one egg, beaten

Directions:-

1) Heat a range to 375 degrees F ( 190 degrees C ).

2) Place one egg into a frying pan cover with water by one in.. Cover the shallow pan and bring the water to boiling point. Once the water is boiling, instantly take from the heat and let the egg stand in the hot water for fifteen mins. Pour out the hot water and chill the egg under cold running water in the sink ; peel and chop the egg. In the meantime , bring a frying pan of water to boiling point.Mix in the corn and return to the boil. Cook for two mins ; strain and put aside to chill.

3) Warm the plant oil in a frying pan over gentle heat. Whisk in the onion, and cook till the onion has softened and turned translucent, about five minutes. Tip the milk into the shallow pan and stir in the cornstarch. Add the butter, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Bring to a low heat whisking consistently, then cook for two mins till the butter has liquified and the sauce has thickened. Mix in the hard boiled egg and corn ; tip into the pie crust. Brush the crust with the whisked egg.

4) Bake in the heated range till the crust and the pie are golden brown, about twenty-five minutes.
