| Health Care In America |
Bleak times call for desperate measures... Or so our presidency would have us believe. Our medical care system in the U.S. , and particularly California, is more expensive per capita than any other developed ( or underdeveloped actually ) country in the world. And for this, we receive some of the most pathetic medical care services of the developed countries. This is, in part, because when you count the price tag per capita, this doesn't count the people that aren't paying.Like : illegal aliens, destitute, companies who pay little or no taxes due to company tax loopholes, and other such entities. Companies apart nonetheless, these indigent people are still ready to receive hospital treatment at any trauma room due to California and Fed Law. Essentially , we've all of the negative results of "socialised " medical care without basically having equal medicare for all. Debates against socialized medical care, include the people not desiring the few to pay for the masses. But that's precisely what has happened here. California has one of the highest % of illegal immigrant populations in the country, and whenever they fall down or scrape there knee, the only hospital treatment they can afford is going to the trauma room, with no insurance, no valid identification, and no money ; and they get health coverage.Myself, from the other perspective, I work two roles, pay my taxes, hardly make enough to keep a roof over my head and food on the plates of my folks, don't get such luxuries. An trauma room visit usually runs me $2,000+, which I must pay or else what's left of credit will vanish. I will not afford medical insurance / care, and with the economy today, my bosses don't offer me any benefits as they won't let me work full time. This HAS to modify. I'm of the opinion that lots of you readers out there are against socialised medical care systems, or plans to increase spending on regime helper for health programs. Don't be so fast to throw these suggestions out. In time, we are probably going to save cash, hopefully by removing the illegal immigrant people, but as importantly, by offering cheap medical care to Everybody , this will stop the jam-packed ER's packed with people who never propose to pay for coverage, which increases the expenses to tax-payers countrywide. We must change our medicare system straight away, or else we'll continue to overpay for medical services for indigents, and the truthful, industrious American's may continue to be denied medical insurance coverage because they can not truthfully afford the cost. |
